As a nonprofit organization, ASPNM relies exclusively on the generosity of its friends and supporters to sustain and build its amazing programs throughout the year. Donors to ASPNM’s annual Summit Campaign ensure the program’s continued success and open the door of opportunities for hundreds of individuals with disabilities each year.
Adaptive Sports in the Southwest are very popular because of its blue skies and warmer day temperatures. Yet it is the warm feel of the people involved in the Adaptive Sports Program that make outdoor recreation in the Southwest the absolute best!
Since 1985, the Adaptive Sports Program has been offering risk reduced and highly supportive Skiing and Riding lessons for adults and children (all ages) with a wide array of disabilities. Since 2012 we have been offering Adaptive Water Sports such as Rafting, Kayaking, SUP, Sailing, Water Skiing, Wake-Boarding, Fishing and our newest attraction, Wake Surfing! Along with our other sports, Adaptive Golf, Rock Climbing and Archery are also on our menu now too!
The ASP is very proud to also provide adaptive recreation services to the brave souls who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. It is made possible for the ASP to offer services to military veterans on a "complimentary basis" via generous grants from Ski Santa Fe, Wounded Warrior Project, Warfighter Sports Program, Adaptive Adventures and this along with many other Private Contributors.
“Well - we are back in Bermuda and I just wanted to send my thanks for the wonderful, inspirational and adrenaline pumping time I had with you, Chris, Dennis and Bill - it was such an amazing experience. I never thought I would get a chance to go skiing and take my family on a ski holiday - you guys are truly amazing and I cannot express how grateful I am for your dedication to adaptive skiing - I feel like a kid after Christmas - now it's over I have to wait a whole year for it to come back again!!! I am going to start training for the ultimate mono-ski - helicopter, black diamond insanity.”
“We wanted to thank you so much for the adaptive ski. I don't think he (Colin) has ever been so excited and is already planning his trip for next year. It truly made him feel more a part of everything. Here is a picture of him. Thanks again”

“Brett - I hope this email finds you well. . .We had such a great time on our trip, which was made more memorable by the wonderful job you did with Eli. We can't wait to get back to Santa Fe next winter for more skiing. We will have to coordinate with you to make sure that you're available. Eli would love that. All the best”

“I just wanted to let you know that Josh and the rest of us had a great week at Ski Santa Fe. He has been talking about it all week and is already wanting to make plans again for next year. Please tell everyone (Bret, Kim, Art, Noel, Chris, Bruce, Mike, Fred, and Dennis) that we said hello and thanks for showing Josh such a good time. I have attached a few pictures as well. Hope all is going well”

“Hello, Brett! I wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for all of your work with the adaptive ski program in Santa Fe. I had a GREAT time on Saturday. It really lit a fire under me to start figuring out how to get my own ski so I can hit the slopes more often. Once per year just isn't going to cut it. I grew up in southern Michigan, so I never really had much opportunity to ski. However, being so close to Santa Fe, I should really take advantage of the mountain and the great program that you have. Thanks again for all of your hard work and sacrifice. I was also wondering if you have Steve's e-mail address. I'd like to thank him for all of his help and pointers. He was very helpful and patient. You are fortunate to have such great people as volunteers!
“Brett, The video is awesome!!! Great pick on music too. I got teared up watching him have so much fun - and I was even there! What a treasure. I don't know if you've heard from Pierce or not but I would think he would be eager to share. His Mondays are pretty full so I haven't yet talked to him today. Thanks for taking the time to take and make the video!”
Just wanted to let you know that Ava has done great this season. She's made huge progress and has enjoyed every second! We are so proud of her and grateful for all of the wonderful volunteers. Have a good evening and see you on the slopes.
